- CorrectionCorrection: T-001 Can Canada become a material energy supplier beyond the United States? (Edition 1.0, correcting its source edition)
The non-US gas column of Statistics Canada table 25-10-0086 is blank for 114 months before July 2025, not 48. The regulator also lists 10 small LNG export records to China from three other British Columbia points, so nearly all, not all, of the non-US gas trade ran through one terminal.
- CorrectionCorrection: T-002 Is the Northwest Passage becoming a shipping lane? (Edition 1.0, correcting its source edition)
The publisher’s seven route groups and three composite courses sum to its total of 465; there is no three-transit gap in its arithmetic. Its per-season summaries also sum to 465, not 466, and its 2018, 2020 and 2021 annotations are in the text, not only in a graphic.
- CorrectionCorrection: T-003 Was the Strait of Hormuz closed, or repriced cargo by cargo? (Edition 1.0, correcting its source edition)
Five facts corrected: the wording on monetizing the Strait is in the US Treasury release of 29 July 2026, not Federal Register rule 2026-17426; the July war-risk range is credited to S&P Global, not Marsh; 21 further IEA members, not seven, supplied the rest of the 426 million barrels, and the US insurance offer came on 3 March; Frontline’s quarter was its best ever, not since 2004, Strait flows were 21.6 million barrels a day in the fourth quarter of 2025, and EIA’s supplement is dated 12 August; the owners’ refusal sits in sub-clause (b) of the war clause, not (f).
- CorrectionCorrection: X-001 TSMC’s geopolitical exposure sits on one island, not in its China sales (Edition 1.0, correcting its source edition)
Arizona’s first facility entered high-volume production at the end of 2024, not in 2025; Taiwan listed Huawei and SMIC in June 2025, not June 2026; EMEA was 3% of 2025 revenue, not 4%; the US footprint also includes Fab 11 in Washington State.
- CorrectionCorrection: S-001 Iran, the Strait of Hormuz, and a renewed strike (Edition 1.0, correcting its source edition)
Four retrieval marks printed on the source’s own registers are replaced by the real date of a fresh retrieval, or marked not disclosed. See annex 1 of the full brief.
- CorrectionCorrection: Q-026 What can a large electricity load get connected in Canada, where, and by when? (Edition 1.0, in its “Since publication” note)
The close to 800 MW requested was described as spread across all three categories; the Province places the first call with AI and data centres, and hydrogen for export has its own later call. The comparison of 400 MW with close to 800 MW stands.
- New briefDecision Brief No. 021: Can Canada turn promised capital into built projects?
