The Gran Rosario port cluster shipped 75.7 Mt of grain, meal and oil in 2025, the most of any farm-export hub in the world, from products worth almost one in three of Argentina's goods-export dollars. Oilseed unions called strikes there in March 2025, December 2025 and May 2026, but each was short or was stopped by compulsory conciliation. A wage deal signed on 29 Jun 2026 runs to the end of 2026, so the window to watch is the 2027 wage round in an election year.

The other side

A clean 2027 wage deal (the 2026 deal covers this year only [6]) would extend the record pace of 2025 and early 2026 [1] and steady the flow of export dollars. For Brazil, the US and Canada, any halt brings prompt sales at better prices.
